Celebration of Lachlan’s Life

Sleeping Angel October 17, 2011

Our precious Lachlan passed Friday, October 21, 2011 at 3:55 pm.  He was at home, in my arms,  and was surrounded by his Daddy, Brother and two Grandmothers.

We are currently planning a service to honor Lachlan.  The date will most likely be November 12th, and we will post all information as soon as the details are finalized.

All who would like to attend are most welcome.  In fact, we would be honored by the presence of those who were touched by his bright and shining soul.

Please know that I have much to say.  Much to write.  I could write for days and not say it all.  I will continue to write about my Lachlan.  Now I may actually have some time to do so.  He deserves to have his story told.  He is a shining light in a dull world; who now shines above us to light our way.

You’re right Leslie, I couldn’t agree more and I look forward to reading each and every post about that precious boy. Much, much love to you guys and our thoughts and prayers are with you always.

Dearest Leslie, thank you for your sacrifices and your dedication as a mother, wife, daughter and so on.

It was more than a privilege to pray for lil’ Lachlan for these several months. As a mother that has walked the walk of your loss, please do write all that you need to say and then some. Believe you me. that is certainly a gift from God.

My books after 15 years are still locked inside of my spirit and soul. I pray for you and your family often. Seek the strength that graces you every day. Of course it is love that I am speaking of, the love of God is more gentle than most recognize. You realize it when you have to go through the fires of life, and are amazed that you don’t even smell like smoke.

May our Heavenly Father continue to keep you in His perfect peace.

    Sincerely,

    Bishop, Dr. Tina M. Battle

(Thank you Bishop Romanzia Saunders for always keeping me in the loop about this wonderful family, and our “little man” as I endearingly call him.

It’s impossible for me to understand all that Lachlan and his loved ones endured. But I stand in awe of the strength you have all demonstrated. My prayers continue for you all. I hope to be there to celebrate Lachlan’s life with others who have been touched by his courage.

In tribute to a little one who fought well. Each morning a prayer was going forth for little Lachlan. Although, I never had the opportunity to meet Lachlan, he was very much a part of my prayer life. I rejoiced when the report was good and prayed during others. And though I did not meet him here on this earth, I know I’ll see him in heaven. May God comfort the hearts of his family during this time of sorrow. From City of Refuge Prayer Group
